BRITISH EMPIRE – NEW DEAL ALBUM – Fascinating vintage Stanley Gibbons New Deal album that covers British colonial subjects from Aden to Zululand providing over 11,000 spaces running from 1840 to mid-1930s! Officially, since original collector parked hundreds of additional sets (mostly King George VI definitive issues) wherever they would fit, and thus though coverage throughout varies, bearing in mind extras that run well past middle of the 1930s, there are close to 10,000 different stamps crammed into this vintage album! Even the album by itself is very attractive: it is in great shape, features lots of beautiful illustrations and advertising with rather dated language like such and such ‘importer of foreign stamps!’ The collection is packed with classics from the 19^th century mint and used, and then largely complete mint definitive sets from the 1920s, 30s, and 40s!
