GERMANY – HIGHLY COMPLETE DDR COLLECTION IN A PAIR OF SCOTT SPECIALTY ALBUMS – This is a very comprehensive and virtually all mint collection of some three thousand different issues tracing the history of German Democratic Republic from immediate post WWII period featuring an interim-Russian occupation issues and then all the way to the fall of Berlin Wall! Some of those issues from the 1990s were put into circulation literally while the Berlin Wall was being dismantled brick by brick, and were quickly replaced by Bund issues! The collection is very nicely populated with all early period required attendees like Mao and Karl Marx on souvenir sheets, albeit the early section is mint/used mix and then the collection is virtually all mint from the late 1950s! Including Goethe semi-postal sheet from the Russian occupation section! Nice addition to any German portfolio! VERY FINE, mint og, most NH (We only photographed sample selection focusing on early period, just a quick preview as the second half of the 20^th century is virtually complete)
