RUSSIA – PREMIUM FIVE VOLUMES COLLECTION 1850s-1990s – Few countries utilized the full potential of visual propaganda offered by postal stamps to the same extent Russia has, and this particular collection is a fitting tribute to the above! The collection of close to seven thousand different issues tracing Russian issues from the very dawn of philately in the middle of the 19^th century and then running right to the year 2000 on it’s modern terminus of the collection! The collection includes a nicely populated Imperial section with such premium gems like mint #11, 53,  used #5-10, 12-18, 19-25, 39-40, and only grows in strength featuring an exceptional early Soviet period boasting such standouts like mint #195, 242-249, 265-272, 294-301, 336-341, 375-381, 382-400, 402-405, 406-408, 472-478, 485-486, 546-550, 559-568, 590-595, B1-B4, B38, B39, B40, B41, B54-B57, C2-C5, C6-C9, C10-C11, C12-C13, C15-C19, C20-C25, C26-C29, C30-C33, C34-C35, C40-C44, C75a, among others as the 20^th century runs practically complete all the way to end of the century! Simply beautiful collection with very few spots left to fill! Furthermore, one of the volumes is allocated to post Soviet Republic, 1990s issues from Latvia, Estonia and others. Gen.
